Los Primos del Este is a six-piece Mexican‑American regional Mexican band based in North Carolina, formed in 2019. They are recognized as pioneers of the modern “saxo norteño” sound, blending traditional norteño instrumentation with saxophone, corrido tumbado, sierreño, country, and románticos influences. Signed to Interscope Records, the band has quickly built a passionate fan base thanks to viral hits like “No Es Mentira (Versión Norteña),” “Poema,” and “Baby (Versión Norteña)”.
Their breakthrough single, "No Es Mentira (Versión Norteña)", especially fueled their growth with millions of streams and social media coverage. While they’ve only officially released music since around 2020, albums and projects such as PDE, Emociones, Eastcoast, Luna Del Miel, and various EPs reinforce their youthful energy and evolving artistry.
